Follow your dentist’s instructions for daily wear, meals, drinks and cleaning. Keep trays in their protective case when removed and do not use heat that could distort them. Contact the clinic if a tray is damaged, lost or no longer fits as expected.

Teeth do not always move exactly as predicted. A tray that does not seat properly, persistent discomfort or a change in your bite should be reviewed. Do not skip ahead to force progress. Your dentist may adjust the plan or recommend a different approach.

Continue brushing, cleaning between teeth and attending routine dental appointments while using aligners. Trays do not protect against decay or gum disease. Tell your dentist about bleeding gums or sensitivity, particularly before changing to the next stage.

Retention is part of planning orthodontic care. Teeth can move after active treatment, so ask which retainer is recommended, how to wear it and when it should be reviewed. Long-term follow-up helps identify fit problems and unwanted movement.
